Flight Information
Some airline companies offer low-cost flights to Madeira with daily flights to Europe's leading cities and extensive intercontinental connections. The airport offers a bus service (Aerobus) to the island's capital, Funchal. Please consult the major airlines flying to Madeira:
Public transport to the conference venue
The conference venue, Fórum Machico (FM), is conveniently situated next to Madeira's International Airport, in the city of Machico. To reach the venue, we encourage the use of public transportation. The bus company operating in the airport (SAM) will take you to the conference place in approximately 10-15 minutes. You can take the bus route 20, 113 or 53 from the airport to Machico bus station.
Arriving by Táxi
Another good option to get to FM is travelling together with 2 or 3 people by taking a taxi. A taxi from the airport to the conference site is approximately 5-10 minutes. The travel time by taxi from Funchal to the conference site is approximately 20-25 minutes.
